Still We Rise - The Pioneers Who Inspire Us. PART 2

In our second edition of Still We Rise - Pioneers Who Inspire Us, we're honouring both Black History Month in the US and LGBTQIA+ History Month in the UK. At Remarkably, we're driven by the conviction that brands can significantly influence the world by fostering connections—among employees, customers, and all stakeholders. Join us as we share our inspirations from the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities that fuel our commitment to this cause!

PART 2 | Remarkable Connections.

We forge remarkable connections when we are transparent, keep our promises and show empathy. We're in the business of creating connections that resonate on a human level beyond mere transactions. The stories we share through learning and beyond are testaments to the unifying power of authentic relationships. To do so, you need resilience to brace the unknown, to stand up for what you believe in, and to inspire others.

Here are some trailblazers to follow who excel at building connections:

  • Peter Tatchell: A leader in the arena of human rights, Tatchell has been at the forefront of LGBTQ+ activism in the UK, known for his role in the first Pride march and unrelenting advocacy for equality and justice. Hating Peter Tatchell on Netflix demonstrates Peter's courageous attempts to advocate for the rights of the LBTQIA+ community, often facing into uncomfortable situations and conversations to be heard.
  • Ibram X. Kendi: As an author and historian, Kendi's work connects readers to the deeper truths of racial justice, encouraging a more informed and connected society.
  • Janelle Monáe: Through her music and public persona, Monáe bridges diverse communities, promoting acceptance and understanding across various spectrums.
  • Reni Eddo-Lodge: A British author of "Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race", her work forges connections by inviting open and honest conversations about race and structural inequalities

After exploring the inspiring actions of trailblazers like Peter Tatchell and Ibram X. Kendi, it's evident that forging connections requires deep understanding—a principle at the core of our learning offer, Remarkably Academy. Our learning and development programme empowers brands and teams to embrace inclusivity inspired by the resilience and courage of these pioneers. Learn to enhance communication, collaboration, and resolve conflicts, fostering growth and impactful change. Discover more about our Academy and its offerings in our brochure.

Join us next week for our third and final part of the Still We Rise - Pioneers Who Inspire Us series, where we will talk about inclusion.
